I’m currently exploring how we can make healthcare easier at Optum. Depending on your perspective, it’s an industry that’s either hopelessly broken or simply ripe for change. I believe in the latter.
In my current role, I’m a designer working on a software engineering team while thinking about product strategy. I lead a group of twenty as we build consumer-facing digital healthcare experiences. My scope covers both near-term and future solutions to help our 120M members find care, manage prescriptions, and maintain their health finances.

I’m a relative newcomer to the healthcare industry. Before that, I led the design group for Delta Air Lines' Innovation Team. Our small collective of researchers, engineers, designers, and strategists explored how new technologies could bring humanity back to travel.
Our thinking was typically 2-3 years ahead of the business. Several of the digital experiences Delta travelers enjoy today are a direct result of our work.

Palladyne AI is a pioneer in the AI/ML robotics space. Their software provides human-level reasoning capabilities for industrial robots, which allows them to adapt to variations in their environment or tasks. I spent a few months helping them refine the UI for their low-code/no-code Palladyne IQ product.

Prior to Delta, I was at a multidisciplinary design firm called People of Resource. We worked with everyone from Fortune 500 companies to startups. Our services included industrial design, UI/UX, environmental design, branding, user research, and web/video production.

Early in my career, I specialized in physical product design. I cofounded a company called Lalabu, which was built around my patented kangaroo pouch-style shirt. It was an Indiegogo success story, raising almost $20k for the first production run. I also spent a few years designing smartphone and tablet accessories for Case-Mate.

I’m an experienced leader and creative who solves complex problems with thoughtful simplicity. Job titles don’t tell the full story, so think of me as a strategist/designer/futurist/builder. I enjoy helping forward-thinking companies create experiences that make people’s lives easier.
